  • Test scores were improved when students were getting a healthier lunch, the quantity is not what matters it is the quality that counts.
  • Mental and behavioral problems can be linked to unhealthy nutrition and poor eating habits.
  • Students who don't eat healthy lunches or get proper nutrition were linked to not having the determination necessary for school success. 
  • Students that eat unhealthy foods are more likely to become ill. That illness can cause them to miss school, which can cause them to fall behind.
